Queensland Winter Sun
There is no such thing as a winter in Queensland. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, there isn’t a reason why you shouldn’t enjoy your winter in the sun. With the balmy weather, palm trees and swimmable seas, snorkel into the Great Barrier Reef, or set sail in the Whitsundays and then maybe trek back in time in the primeval Daintree Rainforest.
Located on the northeast side Australia, the state’s capital is Brisbane and it’s easy to see why. An energetic city full of style, arts and culture, by night it comes alive with a huge variety of extravagant bars, clubs and live music venues. The Brisbane River is also a highlight of the city, winding its way through, its banks scattered with an assortment of alfresco dining options. The perfect centre for an exploration of the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and the Great Barrier Reef, Brisbane isn’t too far away from anything. Like the capital, the coasts offer stunning beaches, remarkable food and wine experiences, great shopping strips and many activities to intimately explore the reefs.
Such a contrast to your usual winter breaks, Queensland has something for everyone to enjoy. The activities are endless, the scenery bottomless and all under the brilliance of the glittering winter sun.
