NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH WITH COMPREHENSIVE COVID-19 COVER

Introducing an online company called SKICOVER.COM

Skicover.com has updated its winter-sports policy range to provide cover when travelling against FCDO advice whilst simultaneously protecting consumers against COVID-related issues both pre-departure and whilst abroad.

The policies have been updated to instil consumer confidence around travelling so they can go on their holidays as planned when flight and accommodation services are still operating, knowing they are protected, even if the destination is removed from the UK Government’s travel corridors list.

The updated policies allow consumers to travel against FCDO advice but only when it relates to COVID-19 and is only applicable to European destinations on a single trip basis.

Extra cover includes

Before a trip:

Cover if a customer tests positive for coronavirus within 14 days before their holiday

Cover if they have been hospitalised within 28 days of their holiday

Cover if they are not allowed to board their flight as a result of a positive coronavirus test or raised temperature

The policy can be cancelled if the UK or the customer’s local area enters lockdown again within 14 days of purchase

During a trip:

Cover if they have checked in at their holiday accommodation but the property needs to close as a result of the coronavirus

Medical cover included if they catch coronavirus whilst abroad

Cover if it is medically necessary to bring the customer home

Cover for additional accommodation and travel costs if they contract coronavirus whilst abroad

Winter Travel Insurance

A wintersports travel insurance is vital for any ski holiday as they are tailored to provide additional cover where it matters. Many travellers don't understand the difference between your National Health European Health card (EHIC) and a wintersports policy. Whilst your EHIC card will pay for care in a state run hospital, most accidents on the mountain result in your being carried to a local clinic. Your costs there will not be covered and neither will the cost of getting you off the mountain. If your injuries are serious your EHIC card makes no provision to get you home to the UK and will not provide costs for someone to accompany you.

Skicover.com have provided a discount code of 10% should you wish to take on board a particular tailored insurance policy.

Flexible Booking Terms

This year has been a particularly difficult year when planning any travel. With the ski season upon us, we want to give you that little extra bit of assurance. Having spoken to many chalet owners within our portfolio we can provide more flexible terms, giving you the confidence to book. In the event of Covid travel restrictions, borders are closed, or ski resorts closed your booking can be rescheduled or refunded. Our ski specialists will inform you of the terms for each chalet.

You might want to consider Switzerand as the quarantine rules have changed recently, you are no longer required to quarantine for 10 days on entry to Switzerland. The offical list for quarantine should be checked before travel and gaining entry as there are still countries and areas on the list.

Please get in touch with the White Blancmange team, if need help with finding your winter chalet.
